Wolf-Ferrari a XIX.-XX. század fordulóján élt olasz zeneszerző, de nagyapja német szárazású volt. Festőnek készült, de egy németországi tanulmányútja során mégis a zene mellett határozta el magát és beiratkozott a müncheni Konzervatóriumban, tanára Josef Gabriel Rheinberger volt.

Élete során legfőbbként az opera műfajában, valamint kamarazenei együttesekre alkotott.

Today, I share Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari's Concertino for English horn.
Wolf-Ferrari lived in the turn of the XIX.-XX. centuries. He was an Italian composer, but his grandfather was German. He wanted to be a painter, but he went a field trip to Germany, where he choosed music instead painting, and he matriculated the Munich Conservatory, Josef Gabriel Rheinberger was his teacher.
In the centre of his career were the opera and chamber music.

Ligeti: Síppal, dobbal, nádihegedűvel

Mára egy igazi különlegességet hoztam. A mű szerzője Ligeti György, címe Síppal dobbal, nádihegedűvel. A kompozíció négy ütőre és egy mezzosopran énekhangra íródott, szövegét Wöeres Sándor versei szolgáltatják.

A mű a versek igen érdekes feldolgozása, és meglehetősen ritkán hallható. Pedig nyitottabb füllel hallgatva egy igazán szerethető darab tárul fülönk elé.

I share a real curiosity today. The composer is György Ligeti, the title is Síppal dobbal, nádihegedűvel. This piece was composed for four percussionists and a mezzo-soprano voice, the lyrics were written by Sándor Wöeres.
It is a very interesting composition, and it is really rarely heard. But if we enough open-minded, we can notice, it is a real masterpiece.

Igor Fyodorovich Stravinsky 1910-1911-ben írta meg Petrushka című balettjét, amit 1947-ben némileg átdolgozott. Ebben az évben írta meg a Petrushka szvitet is.
Mind a baletten, mind a szviten az orosz népi motívumok erőteljes hatása érződik.

Igor Fyodorovich Stravinsky composed his ballet Petrushka in 1910-1911, what he revised in 1947. In this year, he composed Petrushka suite too.
Both the ballet and both the suite, we can consider the impression of the Russian motifs.
