Mai nemzeti ünnepünkön az 1848-49-es forradalom és szabadságharc kitörését ünnepeljük. Szokásomhoz híven ma is katonaindulót választottam, a híres Szamosmenti indulót.

15th of March is the memorial day of the Hungarian revolution of 1848-49. Today, as I use to, I choose a military march. This march is one of the most famous Hungarian military march, Szamosmenti March.

Tailleferre elsősorban zongoradarabjairól híres, de több versenyművet, operát és balettet komponált, illetve kamarazenéje is említésre méltó.

Ted Huggens a XX. századi fúvószene megkerülhetetlen alakja. Ted Huggens Hendrickus Cornelius van Lijnschooten néven született Hollandiában. A Ted Huggens mellett a Michel van Delft művésznevet is használta, de leginkább Ted Huggensként ismerik, legalább is a fúvószenében.

A mai napon egyik fúvószenekarra és solo fuvolára írt művét osztom meg, a címe Rondo für Rosie.

Ted Huggens was an unavoidable figure of the wind music of the XX. century. He was born as Hendrickus Cornelius van Lijnschooten, in Netherlands, he used the
Michel van Delft alias too. But in the world of wind music, he known as Ted Huggens.

Today, I share one of his piece for wind band and solo flute, Rondo für Rosie.

Tartini: D-dúr csellóverseny

Giuseppe Tartini olasz, barokk zeneszerző volt, emelett hegedűművész és kiváló zenetanár, de zeneelmélettel is foglakozott. Ő fedzete fel a kombinációs hangokat, amit az utókor Tartini-féle kombinációs hangoknak is nevez. A kombinációs hangok két olyan hang együtthangzásából erednek, amely esetén a kombinációs hang frekvenciája a két megszólaló hang frekvenciájának összege vagy különbsége.

Giuseppe Tartini was an Italian, Baroque composer, besides this, he was a violinist and music teacher, but he studied music theory too. He discovered combination tones. It is a phenomenon, when two tones sounds and the listener hears a third tone, which frequency is the sum or the difference of the two sounding tones frequencies.

In the video of the day, Mstislav Rostropovich plays Tartini's Violoncello concerto in D major.
