A modern komolyzene kedvelői számára bizonyára nem kell bemutatni Stravinsky-t. Sokan őt tartják a XX. század legnagyobb hatású orosz zeneszerzőjének.

Az elégia műfajáről ejtenék még pár szót. Az elégia sokak számára inkább az irodalomból, mint a zenéből ismert. A műfaj görög eredetű, az ókóri görögök a lantkíséretes siratóéneket nevezték elégiának. Ebből alakult ki mind az irodalmi, mind a zenei műfaj. Mindkettő magán hordozza a gyászdalok hangulatát, ahogy az a következő művön is megfigyelhető.

I think, it does not need present Stravinsky for the modern classical music lovers. The most people think, he was the most influential Russian composer of the XX. century.

I write some word about elegy. Many people think about elegy as a literary genre. It originate from Greece, the ancient Greeks called the dirges whit lute accompaniment as elegy. These dirges transformed into the elegy as a literary and as a musical genre. Both bears the mood of dirges, as we can hear in the next video.

Lajos udavari zeneszerzője foglakozott balettel és szinházi zenével is, többek között Molière-rel is együtt dolgozott. Mint udvari zeneszerző alkalmi kompozíciók megformálása is feladata volt. A mai napon Antonio Salieri Sinfonia Veneziana című művét linkelem.

A zeneszerzőről érdemes tudni, hogy az opera műfajában alkotott igazán kiemelkedőt, de hangszeres és egyházi művei is igen értékesek. Tehetségét és elimertségét mi sem mutatja jobban, mint hogy I. Ferenc osztrák császár udvari zeneszerzője volt. A legtöbben mégis a közte és Mozart között húzódó állítólagos ellentétről ismerik. Egyes összeesküvés elméletek szerint ő mérgezte meg Mozartot, ezzel a halálát okozva. A valóságban azonban Salieri rajongott Mozart zenéjéért.
